Pomerania with a modern public warning system

200 digital electronic sirens and 31 alarm control panels make a modern public warning system in the Pomorskie voivodship. This is the biggest investment in Poland.

“Expansion and modernization of the population warning system about threats to the Pomeranian Voivodeship” – this is the name of the project carried out by Digitex. As part of the investment 200 electronic warning sirens and 31 control panels were supplied and mounted.

Project initiated In March 2021 included:

Installed DSE-600S digital warning sirens are equipped with PC-550 controllers, Kenwood NEXEDGE radios and local microphones for transmitting live voice messages.

In May 2022, the last stage of the project implementation was completed and final training for system administrators and users was conducted.

Thanks to this project Pomerania gained a reliable network of modern sirens in each district. The sirens have been installed on local volunteer fire department units, school and kindergarten buildings, office and residential buildings.  One of them was even installed on the lighthouse in Sopot, which is a local tourist attraction. This siren also plays the city’s anthem at noon.

The development of the public warning system in Pomerania significantly increases the effectiveness of the crisis management system, and thus enhances safety of the population in this region.
